Just finished this up last night and really enjoyed it. Tech wise, it is a pretty impressive piece of gaming for the DS. Granted, it is a "top down" GTA, but I don't remember the original two being this fun (and yes, I bought them both, along with the UK expansion).

Anyone else give it a shot?

Well, I did a lot of the "drug exchange" side story, which takes a lot of running back and forth. According to the game, I'm 59.1 percent complete (although I'm done with the main game) and it says it took just over 11 hours to complete the main story. I made just shy of $250k on the drug side mission, which I primarily did so I wouldn't have to worry about earning money for weapons and so I could keep buying houses, etc. I'm going to estimate that if you just stuck with the main story, you are probably looking at 6-8 hours.

Granted, I spent another 3 or so loading up on cash, so if you ran out of ammo, you may have to do some side work to be able to swing for more.

The first light of day that my DS has seen in a while and I enjoyed it. The "people" in the overhead view are very blocky, but you can tell what is going on. The touch screen stuff is random enough to be enjoyable and the "hotwire a car" mini-game is randomized enough to not get too boring. If it gets annoying, you can always just hijack one :)

Again, I'm not a huge GB/DS fan and haven't played a ton of games on it, but I'd give this one around an 8 or so, if not higher. Then again, I've always liked GTA games.
