I ended up renting it and while I'm liking it, the lack of some sort of lock on is getting old. I'm a few hours in and I'm still holding one key to aim and the other to fire and it takes about 3-5 shots to drop each Reaper. Just getting repetitive. The missions themselves are somewhat varied, but my worries about the "lighting in place of a crappy gun" feelings are still there. Anyone else give it a shot?

The game looks interesting!

Though I have to make it through my back log of XB games before even thinking about a grabbing any new Sony titles. :)

Just got to the second island and the gameplay is improving a bit, but you still rely on that shoulder clicking an awful lot. The extra powers are pretty sweet, but most of them take energy from your battery store, so you can use them a few times, then you have to stop and refill. There are usually plenty of items around to pull juice from, but there are areas where you are getting hit pretty hard that are suffering from blackouts, so no electricity except for some random generators. Changes up the gameplay, but the 'default pistol' is fairly weak once you get to a new area with more powerful thugs.
